Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about our services?

Who do I Contact?

For specific questions, contact the relevant facility using the email link on their service page. If you’re unsure where to start or if you plan to make use of multiple facilities, email our Facilities Service Lead or use our Contact form.

If you prefer to speak to someone over the phone, contact Josh Studdert, CMRI Scientific Facilities Engagement and Service Support Lead, on 0419 175 521.

Do you have a price list?

A custom quote is often required to get an accurate price, as every project is unique. We are happy to supply quotes for the purposes of grant applications, so reach out to us with your specific needs.

Many CellBank products and services have prices listed on their shop, but it is still worthwhile getting a quote, because they offer significant discounts to certain collaborating organisations and bulk discounts for large orders. Likewise for all of our facilities, bulk discounts and packaged service discounts are also available.

What is your turnaround time?

Every project is different, and we can provide you with an accurate estimate for completion when we quote, but a project cannot commence until the quote is approved. Our processes ensure you will also be kept up to date every step of the way.

Why choose CMRI Facilities?

Our End to End Services mean you can go from research question to publication with the full support of our scientific specialists, including bioinformaticians, who have worked together for years and have proven workflows to ensure fast, seamless project coordination and outcomes.

We also have significant experience in our areas of expertise, with stable staff members and support for long term projects.

What geographical locations do you serve?

For many of our services, we are able to work with customers anywhere in Australia or overseas. We can arrange quotes for sample shipping if required and can meet with you over the phone or online (Zoom, Teams) to discuss projects in detail.

What about ethics approvals?

It is the responsibility of the customer to have secured required ethics approvals for any services we conduct. We will seek confirmation of approvals where relevant.
